From this year on, Prototron provides you two time frames in order to apply for the funding for prototyping. Tallinn University of Technology (TTÜ) has raised the available funding up to 50,000 euros. NGO Prototron’s condition to the winner of the competition is that the latter is also registered as a company in Estonia in order to negotiate a contract.
Compared to earlier years, Prototron application requirements have changed. There is no separate round for TTÜ alumni as the requirements are the same with the other competitors. Also, there is no requirement for registered Intellectual Property (IP).
You are welcome to apply for the Prototron funding in order to develop and commercialise the research-based project, business idea or invention. Prototron is expecting your application by 15th of March in spring or by 15th of October 2018 in autumn.
The board of experts will eventually choose from the 10 best projects. The board of experts in Prototron is the following: Renno Veinthal (TTÜ), Heidi Kakko (EstBAN), Henrik Roonemaa (Geenius veeb), Liisi Himma (Swedbank), Madis Raukas (TTÜ), Yrjö Ojasaar (Solon Partners), Jaak Raie (Tehnopol), Jaanus Tamm (Defendec), Andrus Oks (Tera Ventures) ja Priit Rohumaa (Nutshell).
