The Student Union participates in the work of important international networks related to education and student movement in order to promote the internationalisation of the university and create significant contacts with the student bodies of other universities. This contributes to the development of international cooperation, thereby increasing the opportunities for TalTech students to become exchange students abroad.
The most important networks in which TalTech Student Body participates:
- BALTECH Student Union
- BALTECH – Network of universities of technology of the Baltic Sea region
The BALTECH network operates at four different levels – management boards, administrative staff, research staff, and students of the universities.
Student activities take place through the independent union of student bodies of the BALTECH member universities – BALTECH Student Union (BSU).
- BALTECH student exchange (BSE)
BSU coordinates the BALTECH student scientific and cultural exchange project, which is targeted at the student councils of the faculties of the universities of the network and under which students, who study the same specialty in two different universities, can apply for co-funding for professional visits through the student council.
- BALTECH-NORDTEK conference 2012 “The Nordic-Baltic region – an Area for Strategic Cooperation within the Knowledge Triangle”. A joint conference of two international networks – BALTECH and NORDTEK (Network of the Universities of Technology of the Nordic countries) – brings together representatives from 30 universities of technology and takes place from 15–18 June 2012.
