A box is defined as apartment-type residential space, which consists of two rooms for four persons, shared kitchen, shower and toilet.
One bed in twin room. You will share the room with one person. Altogether, there are two rooms in the box. Four people share kitchen, toilet and shower. You will pay rent for one bed and share utility costs with a roommate. Best option for getting a place in the beginning of the semester.
Single room. The box consists of two single rooms with shared kitchen, toilet and shower. You will live alone in the room and share the box with one more student. Rent and utilities are paid for the whole room.
Private flat (one bed). You will live alone in a box and have your own private kitchen, toilet and shower. Rent and utilities are paid for the whole box.
Private flat (two beds). In Akadeemia 7/1 and 7/2 there are 10 one-room boxes that are meant for 2 persons. Box has two beds and a separate kitchen, shower and toilet.
Three-room box. In Akadeemia tee 7/1 and 7/2 there are 4 three-room boxes. The box consists of two twin rooms and one single room. One of the twin rooms is connected to the single room, so the twin room is passable. This option is suitable for three persons who know each other. Five people share kitchen, shower and toilet.
First-year International students can start applying usually in the beginning of June. Please do not apply earlier than the given date because otherwise you will automatically be added to our general waiting list and getting a place will be so much harder!
If you are a second year student (or older) you can apply all through the year. Your application will be added to the general waiting list and offers are made upon availability.
Getting a housing offer depends on when you have made your application and how many places we have available. It is much harder to get a place in the beginning of the school year. During springtime, waiting lists are not so long anymore and sometimes it is possible to move in right away.
If you want to live with your friend, both of you have to make a group application through our website/in e-Campus. First person to submit the application, has to mark the “Group application“ box. Second person to submit the application should insert their roommate’s application ID-number to “Main application ID“ box.
Currently, our Campus is accommodating for full year only students from TalTech and from School of Applied Sciences. We can accommodate students from other universities only when we have free places and no waiting list of TalTech Students. This is usually during spring semester (around February-March). We can offer accommodation to students from other universities maximum until 15th of August.
No, we cannot accommodate those who are not students. For signing the contract, we have to be sure you are still in the student list. TalTech students will be study checked from TalTech system. Students from other universities have to send us a signed study proof from their university’s study department.
No, you can have only one valid application at once. In your application, you can choose maximum of two houses. If you wish to change the room type in your application, you need to delete your current application and submit a new one.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to restore an application that has become invalid. All applications are valid 60 days and you have to extend it in e-Campus before the 60 days is full. If you do not extend it, it will automatically become invalid.

All our rooms are furnished with basic furniture. You have a bed, a table and chair, a shelf and wardrobe. Kitchens are furnished with Basic household appliances. All the rest – blankets, pillows, bed-linen, pots and pans – have to be organized by the student.

If you need help with smaller repair jobs (broken door locks, light bulbs needing to be replaced, drainage problems, etc), please log in to e-Campus and use Servicedesk to report your problem. This is the fastest way to reach the technicians!
Please write the address of the student residence, the number of room or box and the description of the problem. We also ask you to add whether you wish to be at home when the technician will come, or he can also enter the room/box in your absence.
The technicians are working from 8.00 to 16.00.

Television signal is in all of the rooms in Mustamäe. It is possible to use a TV without digital box (analogue signal) but to get a better picture quality; you need to purchase a TV with DVB-T digital box or with a tuner of the type.
The channels are available both with analogue as well as on-ground digital signal (DVB-T). If you are watching with digital signal, you may from time to time update your channel list in TV. When searching with digital signal make sure you are using the tuner meant for use with on-ground digital signal (DVB-T).
There is no television signal in Siidisaba 7.

There are no guards in student residences. Both in student residences as well as on the whole campus territory there are security cameras. The security service is taking care of security at all times. It is possible to follow the usage of tenants' access cards from access cards program.
If there are any problems with access systems or cards, you need to notify Student Campus during the office hours by calling +372 620 3659, +372 620 3651. Outside office hours and on weekends, please contact security service.
We ask the tenants to pay attention. Do not let strangers in after you have entered the student residence.
About neighbours who are causing problems, notify also Student Campus. The employees of Student Campus and security service have the right to ask for an identification document from the residents of the houses. This only applies when the employee shows certificate of employment. Security employees wear a uniform.
False fire alarm usually results in the fire departure reacting and possible penalties to the person causing the alarm.
Smoking indoors, including corridors, is strictly forbidden! (Except for in smoking rooms) It is also forbidden to consume alcoholic beverages and narcotic substances!
Silent hours begin at 23.00.

All our tenants are required to clean their living premises (including kitchen, shower room and toilet)!
- Taking the dust from the furniture
- Washing the floors (of the room, box, shower room and toilet
- Removing the stains of food and fat from kitchen cupboards
- Cleaning the sink, stove and the surroundings of the stove in the kitchen
- Cleaning the insides of the refrigerator and when necessary melting it
- Cleaning the sink, walls and floors of the shower room
- Cleaning the toilet bowl
- Taking out trash
In order to avoid the drainage problems, do not throw food into the toilet bowl!
In order to prevent drainage problems you should use pipe-cleaning substances from time to time. This applies for shower room and kitchen as well.
Self-service laundries are located in Akadeemia tee 5, Akadeemia tee 7/1 and 7/2, and in Siidisaba 7.
All tenants of these buildings have the access rights to the laundry room on their cards already. If you are living in Raja 4D or Akadeemia 11, you can use the laundry room located in Akadeemia 7/1 and 7/2 houses. Your access cards are activated. In addition, all cards have access to C parking lot doors – Akadeemia 7/1 C parking lot door underground and C door to the parking room.
You can only pay in 1€ or 2€ coins. Laundry rooms are open 24/7.

Parking around the student residence is free. Underground parking lot costs 12 €/month. The monthly fee for parking is not dependant on the number of days in the month when you were actually parking.
In the parking lot on the ground, there are 64 parking spaces and in the under-ground parking lot, there are 177 parking spaces. The driveway into and out of the under-ground parking lot is only from the side of Akadeemia tee and the barrier will only rise with the access card. Driving to the on the ground parking lot is from the forest side and the barriers are open at all times.
For using the service with the fee, you have to submit a written application to Student Campus, where you have to write your name, the address of the student residence, room and car registration number. After that, the right to enter the parking lot is added to your student residence entrance access card, chip or ISIC card. In addition, for the tenants of 7/1 and 7/2 the access for entrance between parking lot and student residence will be activated. When exiting the under-ground parking lot, the card reader is located on the left from security net. The tenants of Akadeemia tee 5, 11 and Raja 4D can get into and out of the under-ground parking lot through Akadeemia tee 7/1 student residence entrance C (door C from the under-ground parking lot and entrance C of the parking lot).
The areas for parking bicycles are located on the 0-floor of Akadeemia tee 7/1 and Akadeemia tee 7/2 student residences, room A-004 and room B-013. There are also two areas in Siidisaba, both A- and B-building.
There is also a place for parking motorcycles - on the 0-floor of Akadeemia tee 7/2, room B-014.
The price for the bicycle parking service is 6 €/per one accommodation period (01.07.-30.06). The price for the motorcycle parking service is 24 EUR/per one accommodation period (01.07.-30.06).
If you have lost your key or access card and our office is closed already, please call the security service. On the following workday please come to our office and we can issue a new key or card for you.
Please be noted that you have to compensate the loss of the card/key (also in situations where they were stolen). Invoice for the fee will be forwarded to your e-Campus account similarly to the rent invoices.
NB! In case of lost keys, please do not try to duplicate them yourself (e.g. borrowing from neighbour and duplicating them). Student Campus accepts only original keys and you will be charged the fee for lost key if you bring us the duplicate.
If you have forgotten the key to your room, please come to our office to get a copy of the key. If our office is already closed, please contact security service.

If the card reader is not reacting to the access card anymore, it can be either an error of the card or the general system. In this case you should contact Student Campus or after office hours security service.
You can get a new card or chip from Student Campus at Raja 4D.
In case of an error in general system, you should wait for a couple of minutes and the system should start working again. When there is a major problem the system will leave the doors open.
If you wish to add furniture or replace some of the furniture in your room, you have to contact our administrator.
Assigned or added pieces of furniture will also be marked on the Instrument of Delivery and Receipt.
