TalTech demonstrates technological excellence at Robotex
Robotics promotional event of the year, Robotex, from November 30 to December 2, will display TalTech's technological achievements such as Iseauto, TalTech Student Satellite, Student Formula race car, and provides a chance to compete at TalTech Folkrace. The Robotic Club that won several medals for TalTech last year, has developed 15 robots for competitions and plans to compete in 5 different events.
Everyone can see the first ever self-driving car of Estonia in its full glory at TalTech booth in the Robotex. There is also TalTech Student Satellite, which has just been publicly presented. It will be sent to the orbit next summer. In addition, people themselves can experiment with satellite design, although using folding techniques.
Formula Student Team Tallinn will bring to Robotex a formula that achieved excellent results this summer at the world-wide university racing tour. The team is already developing a self-driving formula on the basis of their race car.
TalTech Folkrace aims to imitate the catchy nature of the rally. There are up to 5 robots that compete with each other in speed and skills. Naturally, TalTech researchers and students share knowledge and tricks for youngsters in different workshops.
On November 30, Professor Tauno Otto of TalTech School of Engineering, will discuss on the topic of Industry 4.0 during the the panel discussion at the Robotex conference.
