Public Administration (PhD)
RNd welcomes prospective PhD students (both local and international) with research interests in Public Administration and/or Technology Governance.
RNS offers a 4-year PhD curriculum that balances teaching and research in the fields of PA and TG. The program is fully taught in English.

The aim of the PhD program is to
•Provide extensive knowledge and research skills in, respectively, public administration and technology governance to individuals either pursuing a scholarly career in either field or seeking career advancement in fields requiring a PhD degree (e.g. policy analysts, top civil servants etc);
•Provide comprehensive research skills in social science research in general and in public administration and technology governance in particular;
•Develop abilities of students for carrying out independent research;
•Contribute to the quality of public administration and technology governance mainly in Estonia but also internationally by furthering academic and policy relevant discussion of key issues.
The focus of the PhD studies is independent research and the publication of research findings in international peer-reviewed journals. In addition, the programme offers courses on research methodology, theoretical developments in public administration and technology governance, and current themes on public administration and technology governance.
