This course covers a broad spectrum of topics that introduces various themes of contemporary robotics. The main emphasis is on mobile robotics. The course is oriented to acquiring practical knowledge that introduces students to contemporary methods of robot programming, in particular using Robot Operating System (ROS) to define robot architecture and solve various problems. The course is managed in the Moodle learning environment, including also all course materials and additional reading.
Fundamentals of Biomechanics EMR0040
This course gives an overview of the main topics in biomechanics covering soft tissue biomechanics, muscle working principles, muscle mechanical modelling, mechanical principles of locomotion on land, in water and in air, energetics of locomotion and biomechanics of capillary flows.
The theoretical work is paired with theoretical and practical lab exercises.
This course is for engineers about how to become an inventor. We belive that that, on the contrary to a common belief, good engineers are very creative people. And we believe, on the contrary to a common believe, that creativity is not a personality trait that you are born with but a collection of techniques and methods that can be taught and learned. We also believe that inventing is not a rare activity of few inventors, but a skill, habit and lifestyle, that can be acquired.
