Finnish Minister of Foreign Affairs Timo Soini opened SuomiSauna think tank in Tallinn University of Technology on June 2
On June 2 there was an opening ceremony of Suomi Sauna think tank, a joint project of the Embassy of Finland and Tallinn University of Technology (TTÜ), which was a common event of the anniversary year for the two countries.
SuomiSauna think tank was opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland Timo Soini, Finnish ambassador Kirsti Narine and TTÜ Vice Rector for Research Renno Veinthal.
Suomi Sauna is an example of cooperation of Estonia and Finland, where new ideas are born as a result of the common contribution of universities and businesses of the two countries, introducing Finnish atmosphere and design, and discussing economic cooperation opportunities of the two countries and providing innovative solutions.
The opening of SuomiSauna was a celebration of the 100th anniversary of Finland and the 100th anniversary of TTÜ. The event also included the opening of Marimekko exhibition in Mektory and a meeting of the representatives of Finnish organizations in Estonia.
